Causes of Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile Dysfunction (ED), also referred to as impotence, is when a person has consistent difficulties achieving and/or maintaining an erection during sex. Although erectile dysfunction has many possible causes, the most common underlying cause of ED is mental stress.

Erectile Dysfunction may be caused by psychological causes such as mental stress, depression, anger, anxiety and stress. Mental stress causes the body to produce testosterone, which, in turn, causes testosterone to affect the brain's ability to produce sex-hormone called gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). If GnRH levels are decreased, the hypothalamus (which controls your pituitary gland) releases additional stress hormones in order to maintain levels of gonadotropin-releasing hormone. In this case, it is believed that a decreased testosterone level can cause erectile dysfunction.

Sometimes, no known physical cause is present and the underlying cause could be psychological. If a person experiences anxiety and stress in their daily life, these feelings may affect their libido and lead to erectile dysfunction.

The treatments available to treat erectile dysfunction may vary from one individual to another. Many men prefer using prescription medications such as Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra because they do not have any side effects.

However, if you want to use medication to treat your ED without having any side effects, you should consult with your doctor first. There are certain natural ingredients that help improve blood flow to your penis and stimulate your penile tissues to promote erections and increase blood circulation to your penile area. By doing so, you will achieve and maintain an erection that lasts longer than just a few seconds and may even result in the ability to perform in bed.

There are many different methods that are used for treating ED. Some of the common methods include herbal supplements, exercises, or physical therapies.

Herbal supplements are considered the safest and easiest way to treat ED. These supplements work by strengthening the muscles that are responsible for your penis' erectile functioning. The most popular supplement is known as Extagen and has been clinically proven to increase the capacity of your penis.

Exercises are another very popular method used for treating erectile dysfunction. Exercises are designed to increase blood flow to the penis, making the penis stronger and larger. This also results in harder erections, which can lead to better sexual pleasure and a greater chance of having an ejaculation.

Physical therapies also work as a type of alternative to medication and pills. These therapies help to strengthen the penis, the blood vessels that are responsible for erectile functioning, and the muscle tissue surrounding your penis. These techniques are effective in helping you get erections that last longer, stronger, and last longer.
